Going Out on the Fruitarian Diet

There is no reason you cannot go out and be social on the fruitarian diet. The insider tip is to pick a restaurant that has an all-you-can-eat salad bar – a really good one. A few options: 1. Ruby Tuesday (http://www.rubytuesday.com) is the hands-down winner in an unlimited Salad Bar Competition. They make guacamole fresh to order so any ingredient you want can be added or subbed. You can have it salt free! Price of salad and side of guacamole is about $11, stuffing your face the fruitarian style while "mainstreaming it" – priceless! Ruby Tuesday restaurants have locations in 42 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and also in Canada, Chile, Dubai, Egypt, Guam, Greece, Hawaii, Honduras, Hong Kong, Iceland, India, Jordan, Kuwait, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Trinidad, and United Kingdom. 2. Golden Corral (http://www.goldencorral.com) has an all-you-can-eat huge salad bar for under $10 with options of lettuce, spinach, and mixed greens, plenty of raw veggies, and they even have a fruit bar. They have locations in 40 states. 3. Sweet Tomatoes or Souplantation (http://www.souplantation.com) restaurant chain offers a grandiose all-you-can-eat salad bar. It currently has locations in 15 states: Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina. Dinner is $9.95 for adult. 4. Fresh Choice (http://www.freshchoice.com) is a chain of buffet-style restaurants which operate in California, Washington, and Texas under the names Fresh Choice, Fresh Plus, Fresh Choice Express, and Zoopa. Fresh Choice purchases its produce from local farmers, striving to use seasonal, local and organically grown produce. Starting in 2009, the company has embarked on a plan to grow many of its own vegetables. At most Fresh Choice restaurants, lunch costs $5.99 and dinner is $7.49 per person for an all-you-can-eat buffet. 5. OliveGarden (http://www.olivegarden.com) – an Italian, family-style restaurant with locations in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. For $7.50 you will get unlimited garden salad. By doing a simple Google search you can find many more options in your area. The bottom line – don’t think that you can never eat in a restaurant again like some fruitarian outcast. Go out, be social, and enjoy your salad bar.
